Freestanding Hummingbird Feeder

Freestanding Hummingbird Feeder
This project is an interactive hummingbird feeeder that has the capability to let the user know when the fluid is low. The form is made from 3D printed parts and plastic straws that serve as the vehicle for birds to get liquid from. There is a water level sensor that reads how full the reservoir is. The LCD screen fixed at the front shows a message giving a reading of the state of the water level. There are NeoPixels within the base that also reflect the state of the water level. If the lights are red, the water level is low. If the lights are blue or green, the water level is fine. This product serves as an interactive approach to birdwatching. By creating an interactive experience, it can help provide a better sense of control.
